SUMMER OF COLOUR WEEK 3

Well...who would have thought I could have squeezed in time to get some art in..it was a very quick one, but still happy to get some paint on my hands...

HAVE THIS WISH I WISH TONIGHT

I love telling Maddie about little things I used to do a s kid..

starlight starbright
first star I see tonight
wish I may, wish I might
have this wish I wish tonight

Call me immature, but even now I do this...of course I know it's not true...heeheehee...but sometimes you just have to...

We have been on the elimination diet, go to fedup.com to check it out...very hard, but it has worked wonders for Maddie....no tantrums in 4 days...yay us...its killing me though as I love vegetables....lol...anyhow, enough of that..

I used just watered down acrylics, a fine sharpee pen, and some glitter glue...nice and quick and simple....

I love all your wonderful comments, so thank you...I almost gave up blogging and art this week...I just got to a point where I thought, I barely have enough time to program and plan for the kids schoolwork, let alone spend two minutes on myself...but...I couldn't keep away from the paint...

OK...here she is...
in shade then in sunlight...

I also decided to quickly do a scrapbook page....Maddie a couple of years ago...red  is one of my favourite colour to scrap with...

Here is Kristin's prompt...

Thanks to the beautiful Kristin ove at TWINKLE TWINKLE
for hosting the sumerof colour, if you do anything creative you should go on over there and join in the fun.
Until next time
lots of it
Mandy

Oh I remember those days well, raising my 5 children--I didn't have art in my life back then, but I wish I did, because I knew it would have helped me on some of those days. Keep creating--it makes you happy--which will spread to your wonderfully large family!

Very nice Mandy!! She is so pretty!! I would love to see her in a photobucket edit all different colors!! Wow... glad you gave yourself at least a moment to breathe and create!! Have a nice week!

I am old and immature at times, and always giggled with my daughter and made up silly rhymes when she was little....no better way to stay close to your kids!! You go girl!!

I love your diversity. Having a wonderful craft is always important, as is being a kid again. Lovely colors you chose for the ice cream challenge. I think mine were a bit too lavender.

Lovely work - I love the subtle use of colour in your paintings - very delicate and pretty - and I also think your layouts are fab.

It soundes like you do have your hands very full but you also need that all important 'me time' so I'm glad you found a little of it to paint this lovely picture and do the scrap book page both of which turned out beautifully!
