NEW DT Position....

Good morning and Happy Sunday. I have some very exciting news....Earlier on this month I applied for a spot on the Scrap with V design team...and I am so excited to say that I was selected as one of thenew DT TEAm...how cool is that.

I have to tell you the girls are all so welcoming...there are great challenges...My first Cybercrop with them is on Friday night, 5th February...but not only that...the kits are awesome and the shop has such a huge range of goodies...can't wait to get there and shop...

getting my blinkie real soon...in the meantime, I have all the other DT blogs you can go visit on my sidebar...go have a wander and check out SCRAP WITH V, sign up and come and have a chat.

4 hours later

Well...was this epic...I thought after my last bag making event of 45 minutes it may have taken about an hour longer....but over 3 hours longer...But I must admit I do like it a whole lot more, and it was just an invention out of my head, so I shouldn't whinge too much, and I will definitely use it...

So, this is what I started with...

And as I said,

Well. what do you think???worth making a few more...I am thinking I may make a couple more of the plain, no frill ones....They take up way less material and much quicker too...

Well...that's it for now, about to have a coffee and put my feet up and enjoy relaxing with the kids on their last day of hols!!!!

Baby hugs, Big boy hugs, bear hugs...

This is a page through the years of Cameron and Lachlan...they had a special bond when they were little, and still do. I love hug photos...don't you!!!???

I made the letters myself by glueing newspaper to some old sheet packaging, I then watercoloured the newspaper. When it was dry I used my cuttlebug machine...think it was REDTAG dies. I then used dimensional magic on the letters....

If you don't have a die cutting machine, you have to get yourself one. I use mine on nearly every page I do!

He loves me...he loves me not...Friday Sketches

Who of you out there didn't do this as a child, and if it didn't land on the one you wanted you would do it again until it worked your way...or was that just me???

Well, with valentines day coming up I thought I would make some little cards for my kids....sh!!!!!don't tell them....I got this cute little stamp of ebay...lol...and this was so fun to colour...I used my water colour pencils I got for christmas...love them to bits....used some gorgeous basic grey papers...love that stuff too!!!

This was a sketch challenge over at friday sketchers.... this is only my second card challenge...mmmm....

Well...I plan on making another card, a bag and some scrap embellies today...so best I get off this thing and start creating...until next time...

New Design Team...

Boy...am I happy today. I have just been announced as one of Deb's new DT girls for cardmaking. I have really only just started, so I feel honoured and priviledged to be working with such a talented group of ladies...

Well...here it is...

Ok...well...a little mini disaster happened to me...in regards to the quilt I was to finish...I had already cut the border and it was all sewn and ready to add to the quilt...well...after 2 days of searching for it I realised it must have been thrown out. So, I had to improvise...I searched for other material to match, but couldn't find it, so I trimmed all the edges and ended up just sort of hemming it..it isn't as nice, but it's finally finished...Jacob is very happy...

Maddie had her first go on the sewing machine just then too...she did pretty well!!!She wanted to make a long skirt...lol..but for the first go I just let her have a practice at straight sewing...YIPPEEEEEE...another crafter in the family...

I will finish it!!!! and other ramblings...

No scrapping today...just a few short words about what is in my head...

1.Love school holidays...no routione and my kids are so good to hang with...most of the time anyway!...lol... I hear their laughter in the family room and it makes me smile....

2.Went to see AVITAR last night and took the kidlets...Maddie was shocked to hear a few placid swear words, but WOW...I can see what all the hype has been over. I even cried in some scenes...sookie-la-la..We all really got stuck into it and walked out of the theatre blown away!!!

3.Some of you may not know this but i have been a smoker on and off in my life...disgusting habit i know, but it sometimes is my way of dealing with stress...well...new years day and new me...no smoking and I am about to start calling myself a non smoker...lol...shout out loud!!!

4.Very soon, once I feel the smoking is truly gone , I am going to try and loose a bit of weight...want to be healthier, and it's about time!!!

5.Did i mention I LOVE SCRAPPING...

6. Have a few furniture projects I want to get done in the coming months....two chairs and a foot stool...must do them....

7.Plan on finishing a little quilt I started making for jacob a few years ago...need to finish it before he gets too old to use it...will hopefully show you the finished product tomorrow...it may take a little longer to hand sew the surround...hopefully not too long!!!

Well...that's about it...better add a photo...mmmm I have no idea..yes I do...here is a photo of my sister's new years eve beach party she had...I had a ball and this is me squeezing the life out of Maddie with her zinked face...

Some Sydney photos to share....

I am really lucky living so close to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but it is always a thrill to go there none the less...today we took the kids across the Harbour Bridge and a visit to the MCA...Museum of Contemporary Art...WOW...is all I can say...can't take photos of the "Art" but it's worth a look...we spent about an hour in one of the rooms...if you get a chance, go check it out....I am so glad my kids love art!!!!

My art for ARTastic...

Happy new year to you all...I have been busy but not of the scrapping variety....I have been reading breaking dawn...the last in the twilight series...almost finished it now!!!!I have the new Dan Brown novel to read after tht...then it will be all systems go for scrapping...lol....
