Huge Catchup

It has been a bit of a few weeks.our family as a whole, have been very busy.
We were lucky enough to have gone on an adventure to Bali, staying in a beautiful 5 star hotel, and attending the wedding of my lovely niece and her partner, Zoe  and Luke.
The whole family went, and so many of my extended family...it was truly a magical experience, and one which we will all cherish for our whole life.

This took much planning, as it was our first holiday overseas, so we needed passport, luggage, travel insurance, immunisations, locks, money had the be exchanged into Indonesian rupiah, we had to get wedding outfits, and summer clothes, and all the medical organising was full on, with scripts needed and letters for every medication we all needed to take.

But we did it, and it is done.. including all our very first plane ride.

                                                        the beautiful bride and groom

the view from our hotel room

arghhhh...hoe do these things stay up??????

indeedy do, I sipped cat poo coffee...yuk!

visiting a temple. we all had to wear sarongs and cover our knees

a trip to one of the islands and i got a couple of little bracelets off this sweet little girl. she did the peace sign, which is what I do....

Ok.
Recipe
I cleaned out all of my food cupboards and decided to use up some of what I had n them.
I made three lots of muffins. They all pretty much had the same ingredients, except the fruit used.

2 cups of flour (I used wholemeal plain and added a spoonful of bi carb soda)
pinch of salt
Teaspoon of cinnamon
Mix

In another bowl
2 eggs mixed with fork
Spoonful of vanilla paste
1/3 cup vanilla yoghurt
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup honey

For the banana muffins
3 mashed bananas
Walnuts sprinkled on top

For the Apple pie muffins
Jar of apple sauce with chunks
I left a little to add in and stir through the top of the muffin.

For the Blueberry muffins
2/3 cup extra of vanilla yoghurt
1/4 cup oil
1/3 cup dehydrated blueberries soaked in water that just covers them
I drained the water before adding to the mixture.

They made 34 all up and provided a week's worth of snacks.
All of this was free, as I had everything in the cupboard and fridge.

Nothing today on the home schooling front. Will start that again nxt week.

Frugal living....look at the recipe above. All free....
My message is, use what you have...you'd be surprised at what you can create.

Home and Garden.
This week, I planted about 20 potatoes. I dug up the raised garden bed with the help of the boys, and got all the roots out. There were so many. I removed the soil, place black plastic on the ground and added half of the soil back. I then placed a couple of bags of potting mix and compost and planted he potatoes.
I then can't very them with potting mix, compost and manure, up to about 20 cm, and then sugar cane mulch over the top.
Can't wait until they start to grow.

And finally, art.
I have been busy creating a piece weekly, in the 52 weeks Illustration challenge, and this week I was taught but he lovely Penelope, how to edit on snapseed. .

Some produce from the garden yesterday
Final birthday money spent on these gorgeous peter Alexander harry potter pyjamas.

Well...that's it for now.
If you are visiting from Paint Party Friday....welcome....
And thank you all for popping by...you can find ppf link to the right.
Until next time
Lots of it
