Christmas Day at Our House

Well...arm saw from playing boxing on the wii...in fact muscle fatigue has set in...ouch...can't lift my arms... any how...christmas morning consisited of santa finishing the presents at about 2....the little ones waking up at 3.30 am and me telling them for the next hour to go to bed...they eventually did but i ended up falling back to sleep...and by 5.30 when we all got up the little ones knew who owned every present under the tree...before Dad got a chance to say the name on the tag!!!!! They were all very happy when they opened their gifts and then out I came with a surprise pressie, which was the wii with extra controllers and games...it was a hit.

Jessica really didn't want a photo.....never does really!!!!!!! So, at 11 o'clock the rest of the family came over and the gifts were given and handed out by my mum.... Then we sat areound, had a yummy lunch...kids went for a swim and some of the adults even fell asleep on the grass!!! All in all a fabulous day was had by all...lots of love and laughter...and thats what Christmas is all about....
Lots of it

363 Days to Go!!!!

I think that's right...Well...I feel as though I haven't been on the computer for ages.. My family Christmas was so much fun, I would say one of the best since my dad passed away 17 years ago. I feel as though I contributed to the fun by organising a Christmas eve activity for the whole 33 of u. At times it was only 32 as some popped in and out...but I organised a prop bag for 5 acts and the family was randomly broken up into groups of 6. First off the rank was a nativity play. with poor Jesus being delivered with concusion onto the ground...no disrespect intended here...
Another of the acts was a dance to Jingle Bell rock, with not a dancer in the group...and the costumes needed to be made with toilet paper and christmas wrapping...the best part of the dance was the toilet fight at the end of the routine!!!!

Next off the rank was a rendition of We Three Kings with traditional beach towel head gear for the wise men...

Next off the rank was a rendition of Santa Claus is coming to town...accompanied by non-tuned percussion instruments and a beer bottle shaker!!!!

And finally, there was a mini carols by candlelight with 5 songs thrown together....and glow sticks, which gave the little kids hours of fun afterwards...
Well...that almost covers eve...but so much more happened I would need to write a book...But you can tell by the smiles on everyones faces what fun we all had...we are now planning for next Christmas eve as it will take alot to beat this year...

9 Sleeps to go

That is about all I will be writing. Sheer exhaustion has kicked in. It has been a very emotionally draining day today, and it always is around this time. Christmas meant the world to my Dad. And now it does to me. I always want it to be perfect, and it never quite is. and I am utterly exhausted from all the Christmas stuff. I am going to bed right now with a magazine and a cup of tea...I sound like a granny...but...sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do....Will post in a couple of days...
Nitey Nite

10 More Seeps to Go...

Well...what a busy and fantastic weekend I had. We were off to Raymond Terrace for the weekend. My sisters were in a mixed bowls team and they were playing in the finals of a state competition. The first day they had their semis...and with a nailbiting end, their three teams made it through to the final, to be played on Sunday. We stayed at a very nice hotel, ans had a few drinks and dinner at one of the local pubs....All in all a fun night wa had by all. The photo is of us at the pub. That night, my sis Fiona and I were up half the night giggling like little kids on Christmas eve. After a very terrible 2 hours sleep we were up early for the final. And, alack and als. after yet another nail biting 3 matches, they lost by one bowl.....they were awesome though... so, about to make my chrissy cards soon, grab a coffe....oh yeah...Amanda loved the pages I did of Connor for her...thank goodness...now, I am awaiting mine from here, and very excited...well...tata for now...

Lots of it

10th December...15 more sleeps...

Well...I must say today was a non scrapping day today, but it has been a spectacular one non the less...I started the day with going to the Drs to get the results of about 8 bloodtests , 2 ultrasounds, and chest x-ray, along with a few more....Well...they are all pretty darn good...SMILE NUMBER 1...Then, I was off to pick my son up from school as he was sick...well, turns out he wasn't really, cheeky monkey, but we had a lovely day chrissy shopping together...and I got my twins for christmas their very own digital cameras...I am so excited about that...they love scrapbooking too...so I have kindred spirits living in my household, and not just out there in cyberspace....I also have almost finished my christmas shopping which I have really been stressing over.SMILE NUMBER 2 Then when I came home I found a pizza box with my guest design team member pack from tearbears site...so now I am busting to scrapbook....SMILE NUMBER 3 Then this afternoon after picking up the kids from school I went to my sisters house and had coffee with my 4 lovely sisters, my mum and my nieces and nephews... SMILE NUMBER 4 ...all in all a pretty upper of a day...for which I am thankful.

Bye for now

9th December, 2008

Okay, so here is the second page of Amanda's...this is her little boy Connor. She mentioned previously that her favourite christmas song was Little Drummer Boy, so I wanted to incorperate that into her page. I searched the net for music of the Little Drummer Boy. I played around with it and printed it off...I had so much fun distressing it. Also changed the photo to match. Not to sure about the stamped title...I am not totally unhappy with it, but i didn't really have anything to match that antique look as far as lettering goes.

Hope you like it....

8th December

Here is a page I have done for a friend for her son Connor... It was his very first christmas...I am currently working on a second page for her, for Connor's second christmas...hope she likes them...

Have not updated for a while, so here are a few pages... The NOEL sisters page was just a bit of fun doodling, water colouring and cutting out. Classic beauty is a photo of a series I took of Maddie playing dressups in the backyard. I didn't want to add too much to the photo...I love it.
The addicted page was a challenge on Deb's website to create a page showing an addiction without it being related to people or scrapping...

30th Sptember,2008

Ok , here goes...Not much action in the scrapping region...Got a very quick page done recently...so easy to do thinking of sticking with this style to try and catch up a bit on the kids albums, although, I did blob some paint on a couple of pages, but don't really like the colours much...may have to experiment and get better colours...Connors page of his turning two..what a precious poss he was!!!not too bad now either!!!

28th September, 2008

Here is the latest in my pages. It was a challenge on the TBSS site where you needed to use multiphotos, multifonts, bling and stamping. The 2000 Olympics for us was such an experience. We got to see the basketball where the Aussie girl team played. We went to the rowing in Cranebrook and we went to the site before the Olympics to check it out, and we were in the village wher I had won tickets to the closing ceremony...only the village though...but it was still an awesome experience.

25th September...More Pages

Here are a few more pages I have done recently...I like experimenting with different styles and techniques. I have recently discovered collage which I love but find very time consuming...Hope you like them...

25th September

Been a bit busy this week so haven't had much of a chance to do much...Have done a couple of pages for challenges on the TBSS site. One is a picture...in fact one of the very first pictures I took of all the kids together after the twins went through their illness and time in hospital. I was a bit scared to take one in case it would be a bad omen or something...silly I know. The starry one is another challenge from TBSS...you needed stars, star in title and stripey paper...

18th September, 2008

So, thought I'd add a page I did about my son, Jacob. It is the most personal page I have done and it was wonderful therapy too...he suffers from a life threatening condition and asked me one day, "Am I going to die from it Mummy?". Another time he has said, "I thought I was going to die." and "I was terrified". It tears my heart open. I reassure him that he will be safe...
On a lighter note I got a journal, a visual arts journal that I can put all my ideas on, instead of having stray bits of paper everywhere...it's working well .
