Two Best Friends...PPF

Well...in my goal to give many of my pieces away, I have been going quite well! It was my nieces birthday on monday and i got quite busy. This is a larger canvas, it needed to be to fit the two of them on. I must say it doesn't look like them, but at no point did i try to make them look correct...always representations...but...it made me think i would like to paint  picture, a portrait and make it realistic...sort of!!!. I will see how that goal goes....

So, this piece was made with a layer of tissue paper...pink with tiny dots, then gesso and then i used graphite pencil, acrylics and water suluable wax crayons...it's about 17 by 11 ish inches..so, yep...theres another give away...i am going well...2 already and i have 3 almost finished,,,yay!!!

one shot shows terrible lighting, the other i just clicked auto enhance on my photo editor...

thanks so much for all the wonderful comments,,,some of you thought esthers prize i won was my art...oops...i was going to put joannas prize i won but it will have to be another post...sorry joanna...i would hate to get credit for your beautiful work...

i am linking this to PAINT PARTY FRIDAY...the loveliest and amazingly talented group oif artists...love checking your work ...

until next time
lots of it

The girls are lovely. You really do eyes well. I also have a portrait on mine and it doesn't look like or really do justice to the subject.

SO so so pretty! I LOVE THIS!! What a sweet idea and the background and soft images are just stunning. And isn't photo corrector cool - I used it alllll the time! Really beautiful my friend - and I too used pencil (to answer your question ;) on the lips and as an outline - I just follow up with a spray on fixative so that it doesn't smudge later . . . Happy week, xoxox

Hi Mandy thanks for stopping by my blog...I only took pics of the neat bits as I am tooooo embarrassed to take pics of the rest My craft space is in the garage as well got kicked out of the house as I was making tooooo much mess, I'm supposed to have half a double garage for my work space but some how I have managed to create a huge mess in most of it and now I have no room to work properly hence the big declutter and reorganising....I do stop by your blog regularly and I'm loving your art work...have you thought about selling it I'm sure there are lots of people out there that would love to have some of your art work on their walls me being one...take care gorgeous girl...oxo
