Well...yes I am running very late in putting this up, and I probably wouldn't have done one had I not gotten up just before 5 to make this painting for a friend's birthday to give to her today...
I am so happy with this one, I am a huge fan of black..lol...and I love the colours I made.
Now, for something random...my family, have been trying very hard to eliminate additives from our diet...we are very impressed with the home made pizzas we have been making...I just use my breadmaker and toss in a few ingredients, leave it overnight and make it the following night...these ones are vegetaian, we have this with a lovely Greek salad...yummo!!!
Back o SOC...thanks so much Kristin for all the effort and support as well over this event...you know I think you are wonderful!!!
Until next time
Lots of it

Summer of Colour Week 4
Hi there...
Here is my summer of colour entry for this week...Gee...only one more artwork to go...
This one has been in my moleskine for about a year now, so I thought I'd use the colours for this week to inspire me to finish it...
I am in love with instagram....lol...and it looks so much better edited...lol...wish I could get the vivd colour in my paints...
here is the instagram photo...it says...I love you more than the blades of grass, I love you more than the sand on the beach, I love you more than the stars in the sky, I love you all the way to the moon and back again, times infinity...
I used to say many of these to the kids when they were little, though all the way to the moon and back I did not say...but I have heard this before and loved it and thought it would go perfect with everything else I used to say...lol...here are my 6 kiddos in love you times infinity...
The first is instagram, the second is a very washed out photo of the whole page and the last is just a page I thought I'd share, many of the colours in this weeks prompt...
Thanks again Kristin over at Twinkle Twinkle and thanks for all the lovely comments....looking forward to visiting everyone's blogs too...
until next time
lots of it

SUMMER OF COLOUR WEEK 3
Well...who would have thought I could have squeezed in time to get some art in..it was a very quick one, but still happy to get some paint on my hands...
HAVE THIS WISH I WISH TONIGHT
I love telling Maddie about little things I used to do a s kid..
starlight starbright
first star I see tonight
wish I may, wish I might
have this wish I wish tonight
Call me immature, but even now I do this...of course I know it's not true...heeheehee...but sometimes you just have to...
We have been on the elimination diet, go to fedup.com to check it out...very hard, but it has worked wonders for Maddie....no tantrums in 4 days...yay us...its killing me though as I love vegetables....lol...anyhow, enough of that..
I used just watered down acrylics, a fine sharpee pen, and some glitter glue...nice and quick and simple....
I love all your wonderful comments, so thank you...I almost gave up blogging and art this week...I just got to a point where I thought, I barely have enough time to program and plan for the kids schoolwork, let alone spend two minutes on myself...but...I couldn't keep away from the paint...
OK...here she is...
in shade then in sunlight...

DEAR PRUDENCE ...choc chip mint for soc...
This is my take on the choc mint over at twinkly twinkle..thanks to the beautiful kristin for hosting the summer of colour...or SOC to we who play along...lol....to be honest I really don't like it at all and that's what i get for trying something different...the background is ok....it just looks sad and doesn't make me happy whatsoever....but i just showed my boys and they seemed to have thought it as great...so there you go...art is different to all who look at it...
i was going to do my usual face that i do and halfway through thought no...i'll try doing something a little different...i didn't want clean lines after all ...i used my fingers for this painting, except where i scratched the pencil onto the page to slighty define some of the features before i went crazy with the white and the glitter...you probably can't see it here...this is quite a dark piece for me to do...and i think i need to go and do a happy one now...lol...
thanks so much for all the wonderful comments from rainbow sherbet...seriously overwhelmed by your lovely words...
ok...until next time
lots of it

ps...update...painted over the scary one and created the tree art....the scrapbook page is one of my favourites of the twins and thought it appropriate to put in with this weeks prompt...

At Last...PPF
So, I held a little bit of a journaling lesson for a gorgeous group of home schooled kids...we were using pen and water colour to do a title page...they did such a great job I felt so proud of them all...but because I was teaching it I never gor to do one for myself, so I spent a little theraputic time doing mine today...
sorry, the photo is blurry...

ppf and my jelly bean baby...lol...
OK...so, I wanted to do something different and try a sort of abstract piece of art..it really didn't turn out how i had hoped...lol...but it was a learning experience non the less...although i must say my hubby likes it and he is usually hard to plase when it comes to the things i do...i wanted to show the love of a mother to her baby, but experiment a bit with colour...well..i did that, but i must say the best thing that came from this is Jacob started to do a painting...i inspired him...so, without further ado here is my mother's love...i am of course linking this to the party....the paint party friday hosted by eva and kristin...yay...
Thanks for all the beautiful comments to all that have come and popped in....it really makes my day, and so look forward to see what you think of my scrambled attempts at trying to art...xxx

Starlight Starbright...PPF
Hi there...
Guess what I got to do...I got to get some arting on....
I started a painting on mothers day, and used a piece of cardboard from a frame I bought as the the paint palette...and I loved the colours together, so I began smudging and scrapping and lightly skimming paint...oh the JOY....and came up with this...
Starlight starbright, first star I see tonight, wish i may, wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight...
A little thing my mum taught me when I was little....
when my babies were very ill I made a wish that they could live so they could grow up and be together....
This celebrates that wish coming true...
And this is a wip of the painting I began...

A new Blog
Hey everyone. I have been fairly quiet in blogland of late. I have still been visiting, but not getting much done myself. Home education is a full time job. It's insanely busy, thereare moments when I feel I am about to implode. But, of course I don't.
I have made another blog with the kids called... REALLY! HOME EDUCATION...it's a little journey of our antics, with results of all their, and my, hard work.
Home education is quite a lifestyle choice. We started it with Jacob due to his health issues, and then Maddie began it this year. They are doing through Distance Education. But as of now, I have started Connor through the Board Of Studies. He has been sick 5 times already this year missing too much schooling. You can't just whip your kids out of school. You have to apply and be very prepared with what you plan to teach them. It's been too many hours of hard work, but it's been interesting.
Enough of that. Today we looked at the rennaissance period, and looked at Da Vinci's works of art. We listened to Verdi's La Traviata and had fun using paints and pencils and charcoal. YUM!!!
Would love for you to check out our new blog.
Until next time
lots of it

HAPPY EASTER
My little critter I made for baby Chase.
My Entry for Easter
'\Jacob and Maddie after finding their loot.
I have been pretty busy of late...thanks to those of you who have asked how things are ....JUST SO BUSY...I have made the decision to home educate all the kids, and that means that I have been programming for a high school child. Rather different but very interesting and I am really looking forward to doing it. But it will mean A LOT of work and it will take my precious crafting time away from me...but I know that it will be rewarding and hopefully, for now, a better way to educate my children.
AND HAPPY EASTER
We started our festivities yeaterday with a lovely day at a local church, playing , riding, hunting laughing, living.
This morning the kids awoke at 6.08...not too bad, searched and found a ton of eggs and goodies. That was all over by 7...lol...we ate a lovely egg and mushroom brekky and have hung out relaxing so far. I quickly sewed together this funky little easter bunny for my new great nephew, Chase. And the rest of the day will be spent getting ready for and going to , my sisters house for a great afternoon of hunting and laughter, and food!!
Hope you all have a truly wonderful day celebrating with your loved ones...
Until next time

Kraft It Up And Paint Party Fiday
So.,..I said I have decided to start scrapping again with an arty twist...And even though the look isn't as neat or as scrapbooking memories style, I am thoroughly enjoying the arty part of doing this...at last the perfect combination for me...I know this style won't suit many, but, I'm happy!!!
The first is where I decided to paint a white tree...the symbol to me of family and growth, thust the phot of Jacob and Maddie in a loving embrace...the joys of being a parent far outweighs those tough time for sure...
The second is where I just smudged paint all over in red...and di a bit if credit card stamping and doodling...
gotta love getting your hands messy...

Scrapping at last
Yes...you heard right...its been about 2 years...I have been experimenting with art and have decided that scrapping with a little bit of art of my own added to it...this is when I am my happiest...so...it may be a little rusty but it's a start...
I joined in a cybercrop over at challenge heaven...I was quite shy on the chat part but it was the kick in the butt I needed to get me back into scrapbooking...a challenge or two.
This one was a sketch challenge...
Here is my birthday boy...he turned 17 yesterday...happy birthday Lachlan...you are an amazing person and I am so proud of you...
Here he was when he was 4...
OK..well...that's about it from me...I am off to do more scrapping...I think I may just throw some paint down....get my hands all dirty...lol...
until next time
lots of it
