new page...

Here it is on white backdrop...

Well...how cn i resist doing a kraft it up challenge....i love kraft...so here it is...i divided the page into 3 then edged with scallop punch...then i used my cuttlebug for the butterflies...i had the intention of lacing, then thought i'd stitch onto one of my cellophane protectors for my pages...
well...love orange so i used all orange...

the photo i used is of maddie when she ws 3...such a cute one of her spinning round on our old swing...her face is just wonderful in this i think!!!

new page

I was inspired from a friday night in over at mad about scrapping...it was a really nice sketch, which i reversed and did a page to add to one of my dearest friends album...its a bit of a continueing story with her album..i vm just so glad i am finally doing some pages for her...


Yeah...i know i went a bit overboard with the glimmermist lol..but its just so fun to use...what can i say!!!!!

Here is a close up because its revlly hard to see the dimension on the wired butterflies...i have to tell you this butterfly die is the most overused die i have but its too gorgeous not to use!!!ps...
pauly..i found it, so when i get on my toes fully you know its coming your way...lol...

bubbles blanket and better

Many of you expressed lovely thoughts when Jacob had his recent illness...here he is much better in hospital



and here he is a week later on a quick half hour visit to Socrates shop to cheer him up a bit...he was very exhausted after the visit...but well worth it...he loved these funny little NOISY puppets.


Maddie loved and bought this bubble machine with the last of her birthday money...



We had a visit from Cowboy...with Craig in tow!!!


and here is the begginnings of a blanket I am making..it seems if i put it on my blog I am more inclined to finish projects....I am knitting a bit now as I need to be on my toes when the J man is sick...can't take too much stuff out...nor the sewing machine....keeping it simple is what I have discovered helps me cope!!!

Some unfinished projects...

Hi there

Well...3 thing to show you...
1. a cushion that matches jacobs quilt i made him...just need to get a darning needle to stitch together.... you cn find the quilt here

2. another cushion...my first attempt at a round...i just made it up vnd its far from perfect, but hopefully once its stuffed it will hide the imperfections...lol..
ps...i am in a folksy mood at the moment...lots of colour...yummy!!!

3. is a quilt i am working on...need to sew the last border ans get the batting and backing...can't wait to finish this one...

4. forgot to show you some l. outs i did for friend...to put with the others i did for her....


PS...I am doing a cool giveaway next week...to say thanks to those of you out there...your kind words were so uplifting last week....

I am a great auntie

Well...you cant't keep a good woman down...so the saying goes..i discovered that i love to use my blog as a way of telling my story...i may be having a mental break, but i need to express...and tonight i am so happy to say that my very first niece that made me an auntie at 15 has just made me a great auntie...

Baby Noah came into the world at 7.35pm 23rd May...weighing 7.3 lbs and he's 50 cm long...what a cutie,,,

new title not so gloomy...jacob improving and at home...

Hello to all my beautiful and loyal readers...
Yesterday was a very stressful day for our family...many of you are aware that i have a little boy, Jacob, who has a life threatening condition...
His official medical title is...acute, life threatening spasmodic croup..
croup like you have never seen before...his airways close over within seconds..
i carry with me a huge granny shopping trolley bag that holds oxygen, adrenolin, epipens and steroids...everywhere we go!!!
he hasn't had an episode for 18 months and we thought he had grown out of it...
but, alas he hasn't, and he had the worst episode of his life yesterday..
i truly felt he was going to die...i guess that's why its called life threatening...
I am quite a mess at the moment just thinking if i hadn't have been physcic and given him life saving meds what would have happened...it took him a long time to respond to the adrenolin...very terrified...the sad thing is, he was terrified too...
it is for this reason that i am having a little time off..i just can't cope at the moment ...
I will miss you all...and maybe really bad days i will drop in for a visit...we all need a bit of sanity...as a mummy with a sick little kidlet this is what i must do...
the good news is he is home from hospital, and going well considering...

moments that made me happy this past week...

What a motley looking bunch...lol...its us...we're crazy...what can I say!!!!I look dreadful sadly...the day had so much for me to do...childrens hospital, dropping kids off, sick kids, shopping, lunch, shopping for party, picking up mum, madly cleaning up before everyone came over to help celebrate Jess, Cam, Jacob and Maddie's birthdays...crazy day...

Very easy ppumpkin soup...3/4 jap pumpkin, 2 potatoes, 4 cloves garlic, 2 brown onions, 2 litres of chicken stock....boil then blend...add a dash of light sour cream...yummo...the kids loved it....

Jacob drawing his interpretation of starry night by vincent van gogh...he was very impressed with the painting when we recently saw it at the art gallery of australia

Well...there you have it..these are the things...well some of them...that made me happy this week...

Happy birthday...

Well...I am writing on my blog to let you all know how lucky I am to have these gorgeous kids in my life...Three of them celebrate their birthday today...Happy Birthday Jessica, Jacob and Madeleine...I love you lots and I am so proud of the beautiful souls you have become...

Look how far Maddie has come...isn't she a clever girl!!!


and look at Jacob....who ever would have thought they would have grown to be this big 9 years ago...

These two little people fought the fight of their life nearly 9 years ago...i feel blessed every day that i have them in my life....
